1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RentSafe UAE ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RentSafe UAE. Please read them carefully.

2. Description of Service

RentSafe UAE provides:

  • Tenant verification and background screening services
  • Property listing and management tools
  • Tenant application processing
  • UAE-compliant lease agreement generation
  • Integration with EJARI and Tawtheeq registration systems

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use the Platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update any changes to your information

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Landlord Obligations

As a landlord using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate property information
  • Verify your identity with valid Emirates ID
  • Use verification reports only for legitimate rental decisions
  • Comply with UAE fair housing and anti-discrimination laws
  • Not share tenant verification reports with unauthorized third parties
  • Delete or destroy tenant data when no longer needed

5. Tenant Obligations

As a tenant using the Platform, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Submit genuine identity documents
  • Provide accurate employment and salary information
  • Consent to verification of your information
  • Not misrepresent your financial or employment status

6. Verification Services

6.1 Verification Process

Our verification services include:

  • Identity verification through Emirates ID and passport
  • Employment verification through LinkedIn profile analysis
  • Salary credibility assessment using UAE market benchmarks
  • Optional credit report review (tenant-provided AECB reports)

6.2 Limitations

We make reasonable efforts to verify information, but:

  • We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of all information
  • Verification reports are advisory tools, not guarantees
  • Landlords are responsible for final rental decisions
  • We are not liable for tenant default or property damage

7. Fees and Payment

7.1 Verification Fees

  • FREE during beta launch period - no payment required
  • Future pricing will be announced before beta period ends
  • Beta users will receive advance notice of any pricing changes

7.2 Subscription Plans

Future subscription plans may be offered with different pricing and features. Current pricing is available on our website.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Key data protection commitments:

  • All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
  • No third-party sharing without consent
  • Automatic data deletion after 90 days
  • Compliance with UAE data protection laws

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any UAE laws or regulations
  • Discriminate based on race, religion, nationality, gender, or disability
  • Submit false or fraudulent information
  • Access another user's account without permission
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
  • Use verification reports for purposes other than rental decisions
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the Platform

10. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by RentSafe UAE and protected by UAE and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute Platform content without permission
  • Use our trademarks or branding without authorization
  • Create derivative works based on the Platform

11. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Platform is free of viruses or harmful components
  • Verification results are 100% accurate

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY UAE LAW, RENTSAFE UAE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentSafe UAE from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or regulation
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your use of the Platform

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Provide false information
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Fail to pay fees

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved through:

  • Good faith negotiations between the parties
  • Mediation, if negotiations fail
  • Arbitration in Dubai, UAE, if mediation fails

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Terms on the Platform
  • Sending email notification to registered users
  • Displaying a prominent notice on the Platform

Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
